Apple Ethernet 10Base-T/10Base-2/AAUI Card
The Apple Ethernet PCI 10Base-T/10Base-2/AAUI Card is a multiple interface PCI card originally released for the Apple Network Servers that run IBM's UNIX, AIX. The card has 10Base-T (twisted pair), 10Base-2 (thin coaxial) and AAUI ports, however only one interface can be active at one time as the card has only one Ethernet controller chip.
Included on the card are 4 LEDs to indicate connection status and activity. These lights can be viewed from outside the case on Apple Network Servers.
These cards function perfectly under Mac OS X.
The 7" PCI card is quite packed compaired to other such Ethernet cards due to the additional Ethernet interfaces. Newer twisted-pair cards almost always use a single chip with little additional components. |
DEC 21041 Ethernet controller manufactured by Digital is fully supported under OS X. |
